Eating Right... The Practical Way..

!!!!EMERGENCY POST!!!!
I know I promised you guys a post about winter clothes and that is coming tonight or tomorrow (so u get a 2 for 1... YAYY!!). But, I just had to share this meal with you guys ASAP!!

I keep having the same battle------> Eat Healthy vs. Pig Out and Suffer the Consequences Later!

The latter one has been winning a lot lately.  And why??? The same excuse almost EVERYBODY has. NO TIME!

Well I've finally put my foot down and said "ENOUGH is ENOUGH!"

I said there must be a way to eat healthy without having to bake for hours, broil for days, or pay a foot and a hand for pre-packaged food.

This meal took a total of 15 minutes to prepare and filled me and the family up until dinner time!

-BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwich-
I took one boneless skinless chicken breast and cut it into two.

I then cut it into fours.

I seasoned the chicken breast and placed it on my George Foreman Grill.  I grilled them for 7 minutes total. Flipping them once.

I cut the chicken into chunks and then I proceeded to cut the into smaller pieces (Shred-like pieces).
While the chicken was on the George Foreman Grill, I combined BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and other seasonings and let it simmer on the stove.

After I cut the chicken, I combined it with the BBQ sauce.  I let it simmer for about a minute.
As the chicken simmered, I cut fruit and put them in a cup and put a tablespoon of whipped cream on top.  (If the little cup looks familiar, all I did was cut the bottom of a water bottle and place the fruit in there because I HATE using multiple plates.)

I pair my chicken sandwich and fruit cup with a quick salad... and BON APPETITE!

This was quick, easy, and absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Even the kids enjoyed it!
This and Pinterest really has me motivated to eat healthy!

I hope you try this!!

Luv ya... BYE :-)

4th of July is coming...

I've been racking my brain tonight about what the family and I might do for the 4th of July... In the end, I have come up with the MOST cost efficient day ever.

Holidays during the middle of the week can be a bummer... especially if you have school  or work on the  next day (like I do).  Therefore, my plans are simple... having a small BBQ with the trimmings, ice cream sundaes, family fun with the water sprinkler, and FREE fireworks show in town.

I wanted to show you guys my great Red, White, and Blue outfit and swimwear finds..

Sydni is sporting a Red, White and Blue Peace Sign Tank (Wal-Mart $3.47), Ruby Red Kid Gap TuTu Skirt (Garage Sale $1 With the original tag still on!), and a repeat of the Jean Vest ($7.50).
Total outfit- 11.97 (plus tax)

Dallas has on Red and Blue Stripe Shirt (Children's Place $4.49) and Khakis (Goodwill $2)!

Total oufit- 6.49 (plus tax)

I found these trunks at Once Upon A Child for $3.50 (with the original tag still on them).
The slippers are from Dollar General. They were $1.25!
<My model became frustrated and quit..lol>
Total- 4.75

Sydni is modeling a Tankini from Children's Place for a wopping $9.87 and a skirt $3.47.

I plan on having much fun with my munchkins on a wonderful, RARE off day.  I will make sure to have many pictures of our cost efficient 4th.

!!LOOK OUT!! After the 4th of July is when most water play things and bathing suits go on sale. The stores will be making room for school items and these summertime favorites will begin to go down in price. BUT DON'T be in a rush to buy!!! Monitor the items you like.  If it's at an unbelieveable price or the last one, THEN snatch it off of the shelves!

UP NEXT: Winter apparel.... all items purchased come to a total of $60 (will take a pic of the receipt!)

please PLEASE... Follow my blog!

Until next time, Luv ya... BYE!

It's been a while, but I'm back... AND FOR GOOD!

Hello Peeps-

I must admit!  I lost my motivation to keep up with my blog.  I felt that I did not have anything worth sharing, but thanks to my innovative sis... I will share with you guys ideas on how to shop, create things, and have a great time on a budget. I mean an itsy bitsy teeny weeny budget.  EVERYTHING that I do involves them in some sort of way so, I will keep u posted!

I LOVE to shop!  I shop probably everyday of the week in some type of way... even if it's just window shopping.  I want to share with you two up-to-date looks for little girls. That were EXTREMELY cheap!

Look #1 City Chic

My princess is in Children's Place! Her tank ($3.49) and shorts ($5.24) were directly from the store.  I got the vest from a second-hand store, Once Upon a Child. It was a somewhat of a splurge of $7.50, but it was well worth it because this same Children's Place vest was S24.95 at the actual store!!

I paid a Total of 16.23 (plus tax).
$8.72 less than the vest alone at Children's Place!

Look #2 Boho Look

This look is truly a steal!! There is a Goodwill warehouse in my area where everything is $2!! Here is one outfit I put together based on a look I saw in a Gap store.  On the right: Boho top 24.95, jean shorts 21.99, Sandals 24.95 All from The Gap = $70.00+
On the left: Top- Goodwill $2, Jean Shorts- Garage Sale $1, Sandals- Childrens Place $2.50= $5.50.

That is AT THE LEAST a savings of $64.50.

Tips on shopping at Children's Place:
  • Wait to shop until they have their Monster Sale.  They have these at the "end" of each season, which happens WAY before the climatical season is over with
  • Enroll in their email club!!  They give u advance notice on sales. There are often extra 20-25 percent off coupons. Forgot your coupon at home?? It's ok, just pull it up on your smartphone.
  • Shop a year in advance if you can!
Hope these two looks have gotten your creative juices flowing!

please, PLEASE subscribe!!!!!!!

Until next time... Luv ya, Bye!
